Job: Controller

Unlimited Tech Solutions is seeking our first Financial Controller to oversee the overall financial health of the company.

A new role in our organization, the controller will also be responsible for developing efficient bookkeeping processes, compiling financial reports, implementing policies & procedures for financial reporting, and seeing to both the bookkeeping needs and the overall financial health of the company.

You are comfortable taking charge of a company’s finances and ensuring everything flows smoothly. You are also comfortable bringing financial issues to the attention of the CEO if they should arise, working with department leads, and solving difficult problems.

The Details

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain day-to-day processes and procedures for the inflow and outflow of money.
• Manage AR, including communicating with customers about new or past due invoices.
• Lead the initial invoice payment for new clients and ensure the clients are being properly set up in our accounting program, invoice schedules are created, and payment statuses are monitored.
• Assist in producing the annual budget and forecasts; report significant budget differences to management.
• Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, making adjustments as needed.
• Identify discrepancies or inaccurate transactions in financial records and offer solutions.
• Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Manage our invoices and ensure payment is made to us by our clients in a timely manner.

Expected Results

• Smooth day-to-day operations from invoice creation to payment receipts.
• Clean and accurate books backed by easy-to-follow processes and procedures.
• The annual budget and forecasts are completed on time.
• Frequent communication with the Senior Leadership Team regarding budgets & forecasts.
• Financial reports are completed accurately and on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Discrepancies and inaccurate transactions in financial records are identified and rectified.
• Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures. 
  Invoices are managed and paid on time. 

Role Requirements

• Proven work experience in accounting or a related field. Agency experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
• BSc or MSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with cash management and risk assessment.
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
• You are highly analytical and you have strong collaboration and coordination skills.
• Project Management skills.
• Tech-savvy. Ability to quickly figure things out independently when working with various tools. This is crucial for this position.
• Accountable, mature, responsible, organized, and delivers on promises.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while being able to manage and prioritize changing deadlines for your tasks and your team’s.
• Possess the passion for helping businesses succeed through a commitment to continuous improvement, critical thinking, reliance on facts (not just data), and rolling up your sleeves to get it done.
• Available during EST mornings and afternoons.
