How the Connection Works

HubSpot exports contacts, companies, deals, and custom objects to your SFTP server on a schedule — as CSV or XLSX files.

 

Files come back the same way, matched and imported through HubSpot's own import engine. Credentials are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), and nobody enters your source system.
